JOHNSON CITY, TN: Greentech Environmental has hired Finn Partners for PR and marketing support.

The company, which specializes in air purification and odor control services, began looking for an agency partner at the end of last year. It hired Finn Partners on February 1.

“At the end of the day, it’s building our brand,” said Greentech VP of sales and marketing Blake Bobosky. “With our two technologies, we’re trying to be disruptive in the marketplace, in the [heating, ventilation and air conditioning] world and the janitorial supply world, [as well as] maintenance repair and operations.”

Following the launch of Greentech’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning filters, the company searched for an agency partner that could place it in front of customers nationally and eventually globally.

Finn is working to deliver marketing strategy and activations, including creative storytelling, media relations, corporate communications and thought leadership, social engagement and creative projects, according to the agency. As part of an initial year-long partnership, Finn is working to place Greentech in front of thought leaders via case studies, testimonials, creative, digital, video creation, animation and trade show capabilities, Bobosky said.

The program underpins Greentech’s expected growth in commercial and consumer markets with an emphasis on commercial buildings, hospitality, indoor agriculture and pets, according to Finn Partners.

Bobosky said that Greentech’s use of nanofiber allows it to use 50% less synthetic material, making its products eco-friendly.

“That’s the story we’re trying to get out in the marketplace, and Finn’s doing a great job in doing that and getting us in front of the thought leaders on a national level to continue to have those conversations,” Bobosky said.

The agency is working on four campaigns for Greentech, including the launch of Greentech’s website focusing on the pet market and residential, according to Bobosky.

Finn senior partner Kara Cook is leading the account alongside VP Danielle Beer.

Greentech does not work with other agency partners. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but Bobosky described the budget as “substantial.”

In March, Fitness startup Humango also brought on Finn for social media, content strategy, customer case studies, newsletters, webinars, earned media and in-person activations. The agency launched its global health impact group the same month.
